MB Chicken’s UK Launch

Who:  Mary Browns Chicken – Canada’s largest quick-serve chicken restaurant

 

The Brief: As part of Mary Brown’s international expansion, we were hired to promote the launch of its first-ever ‘MB Chicken’ store in the UK. Opening in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, the aim was to generate press coverage in the consumer, trade, and franchise press to profile its arrival into a new international market.

 

Results:

  • More than 30 pieces of coverage achieved

  • Coverage reach extends to 155+ million unique visitors

Flood Resilience with ‘Flood Mary’

Who: Mary Long-Dhonau OBE – AKA ‘Flood Mary’

The Brief: For many years, we have supported Mary Long-Dhonau OBE as she continues to push for increased awareness and uptake of property flood resilience and recoverable solutions for those affected by (or at risk of) flooding.  As a result of her frank advice, independence and expert knowledge, Mary has become ‘in demand’ with the press when flooding is unfolding.

Landmark Information Group

Who:  Landmark - one of the UK’s leading land and property data businesses

 

The Brief: For over 16 years, we supported Landmark Information Group with is PR and communications requirements.  This included supporting a number of its business units and brands, including Landmark Valuation Services, Promap, Envirocheck, SearchFlow, Ochresoft, Metropix, Argyll Environmental and OneSearch Direct. 

 

Results: 

  • Activities included PR strategy & development, press office and media liaison, thought leadership, case study development, speaker profiling, awards management and content development

Prime Financial & Yumo Merger

Who: Prime Financial Solutions & Mortgages – financial broker

 

The Brief: 

Following a formal merger partnership between Prime Financial Solutions & Mortgages and Yumo Finance, we were appointed to help promote the merger to the trade, business and regional media, in order to start building a media presence for the joint venture. 

 

Results: 

  • Coverage has featured in multiple titles, reaching more than 400,000 unique visitors.

  • Financial coverage includes Mortgage Strategy, Mortgage Solutions, The Intermediary, Bridging & Commercial and FinExtra

Pelican Procurement

Who: Pelican Procurement

 

The Brief: Since 2011, we have supported catering procurement specialist, Pelican, with a range of communications activities – from supporting news and story telling, managing its comprehensive case study programme to conducting customer satisfaction surveys & telemarketing. 

 

Results: 

  • Work as a consulting partner to Pelican, working as an extension to the marketing function

  • Interviewed and written almost 50 customer case studies

  • Currently supporting a telemarketing project, securing meetings in key vertical markets

The RAIN Project 

Who: The RAIN Project – part of Defra’s Flood and Coastal Resilience Innovation Programme (FCRIP)

 

The Brief: We have been appointed to manage the external comms for The RAIN Project, which focuses on two catchments in Northamptonshire; Harpers Brook & Wootton Brook. The project is implementing a range of property flood resilience, natural flood management and community-led initiatives to increase resilience to localised flooding.

 

Results: 

  • Established RAIN’s social media channels and maintains regular outreach, including with local parish councils

  • Generating media coverage in Northampton Chronicle & Echo, Northants Telegraph and local Facebook groups to support community events

  • Provides on-the-ground support at community engagement events.

Outdoor/Nature

CampWild

Who: CampWild is the UK’s first wild camping platform

 

The Brief: We have been appointed to help promote the CampWild platform, to demonstrate the benefits of getting back to nature and camping in the wild, and to encourage people to learn more about CampWild and sign-up. Working with the entrepreneurial founder, we are telling his story of what the outdoors means to him, and supporting press in visiting the Wild Spaces.

 

Results:

  • National coverage has been featured in The Guardian, MailOnline and iNews

  • Vertical coverage has been featured in Outside & Active, Outdoor Insight, LIT

  • More to follow, having invited the media to take part in CampWild’s new Wild Trails, leading with The Guardian.

Healthcare Homes

Who:  Healthcare Homes Group – national care home and homecare operator

 

The Brief: For eight years, we were responsible for managing the external communications for Healthcare Homes Group, which has a portfolio of around 40 care homes and a network of home care branches, under the Manorcourt Homecare brand. This included managing its PR strategy, all press office enquiries, news creation, crisis management support, award entries, and in maintaining a positive media profile for the organisation.

 

Results: 

  • More than 2,500 pieces of coverage generated

  • Included national BBC coverage

  • Regular regional coverage included regional TV, BBC local radio stations, local newspapers and online, as well care trade and broader business coverage.

PCI Pal

Who: PCI Pal – payments security specialist 

 

The Brief: For six years, we supported PCI Pal with its external PR programme – generating regular news stories regarding client wins and innovations in the payments space, as well as managing a comprehensive case study and award entry programme.  We managed a rapid response programme for topical news to generate thought leadership coverage for its senior team.

 

Results: 

  • Around 1,000 pieces of press coverage achieved

  • More than 50 customer case studies produced

  • Multiple award recognition, including Payment Awards, Cloud Security Awards, CX Awards, Comms Business Awards, Global InfoSec Awards.

Wilmington PLC

Who: Wilmington plc – a formation and training business

 

The Brief: For two years, we worked with Wilmington plc to provide overall comms support – both internal and external comms. Operating a number of brands in sectors from compliance and healthcare to insurance and legal training - and without a dedicated internal marketing function – we acted as a hub to liaise with the corporate HR, D&I and brand marketing teams to agree on content for its central social media channels.

 

Results: 

  • We created a regular flow of news stories & company updates for external promotion

  • 243% increase in LinkedIn followers

  • More than 100,000 impressions on Twitter content

Tree Law

Who:  Tree Law – law firm specialising in tree-based claims

 

The Brief:  Working on a project basis, we support Sarah Dodd, the self-confessed 'tree-hugging lawyer' and founder of Tree Law, to promote specific milestones in her business.  From celebrating the first anniversary of the Welsh-based start-up operation, to the launch of an innovative carbon calculator for claims relating to subsidence and trees. 

 

Results: 

  • Coverage generated in a range of titles, including Insurance Edge, Legal Futures 

  • Business coverage includes Business Mondays, Business Insider, and Business Age

Dye & Durham

Who: Dye & Durham – global data and technology provider for the property & legal sectors

 

The Brief:  For 18-months, we supported the PR for Dye & Durham. Initially we promoted the launch of a new Climate Change data report for the legal conveyancing industry. Using Dye & Durham’s data insights to look into homeowners exposure to future subsidence risk, we created a data-led campaign to generate media interest. 

 

The Results:

  • National coverage including The Express, The Times, Sunday Times, The Metro and BBC News London. 

  • Trade media coverage, including Today’s Conveyancer, Inside Conveyancing, Property Reporter, Mortgage Finance Gazette

  • Achieved extensive regional coverage on subsequent cost-of-living survey project.

Who: International Compliance Association – industry body for compliance professionals

 

The Brief: We worked with the International Compliance Association to help generate media coverage to support the messaging in its comprehensive training programmes for financial crime, governance, risk, and compliance professionals.  

 

Results:

  • Secured a series of thought leadership articles in specialist publications.  

  • Including Strategic RISK, The Journal, Board Agenda, Money Laundering Bulletin and International Banking Systems

Innovate Services

Who:  Innovate Services – catering provider to secondary schools and academies

 

The Brief: Having supported entrepreneur Derick Martin for several years, we were pleased to support a new venture that he launched, which focused on providing an innovative school dinner offering. Taking a more ‘retail’ approach, Innovate offered a totally alternative concept – creating vibrant spaces where children wanted to spend time, enjoying nutritious food. The team partnered with celebrity chef, Gino D’Acampo to revamp the Italian food offering. 

 

Results:

  • Extensive coverage achieved in a wide range of outlets

  • National coverage included BBC Breakfast

  • Coverage also featured in multiple regional papers, local radio and in education and food focused trade titles.
